Material Handler – Summer 2021
• Operated various material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, two-wheeled dollies, and pickup trucks;
• Created and organized manifests for shipments to job sites;

Naval Environment Training Program Instructor – Naval Fleet School (Pacific)
• Instructed groups of approximately twenty people on a variety of naval work-related topics including safety, seamanship, fall arrest protection, administration, force protection and weapons handling, sea survival, shipboard waste management, and history;
• External classroom instruction included proper weapons handling and supervision on a firing range, sea survival training in a practical setting such as pool/harbour, and managing reality-based force protection training scenarios in a simulated high stress environment;

• Operated and maintained ships rescue boats, weapons, and demolitions;
• Served as Quartermaster on the ships bridge, which entailed:
Controlling ship’s movement controls at the direction of an officer;
Ensuring the junior members on the ships bridge were familiar and comfortable with their roles and duties, and provided assistance or training where needed;
Communicated orders from the officers to the junior members on the bridge;
Responded promptly to urgent or emergency situations such as a loss of steering, person(s) overboard, fire or flood.
• Maintained inventory, and procured when necessary, various consumable materials such as paint, rope, cleaning supplies;
• Acquired quotes from multiple suppliers to purchase equipment/supplies for lowest price;
• Accounted for materials upon delivery or pickup and ensured orders were correct.
